Write each reference once. Send it everywhere.
Undersigned is a clickable prototype of a tool for professors who write grad school references. Everything here is fake data. Nothing is sent anywhere.
The problem
- 01A professor with 10 students, each applying to 10 programs, makes about 100 separate submissions.
- 02Every school asks similar questions in different words, with different rating scales, some reversed.
- 03The writing takes a few hours. The admin takes days.
How it works
- 1Each verified referee gets a private Undersigned address, and students enter it on school forms, so school links arrive here and never touch your work inbox.
- 2Answer one combined set of questions per student and upload one letter.
- 3Review each school's version: same answers, converted to that school's wording and scale.
- 4Approve, and Undersigned submits from your own browser, with proof for each school.
What to try
Open Wesley Crusher, check his questions, then click Review and submit letters. Watch for the reversed scale at Dalhousie and the trimmed answer.
